Sylvia Jarrus (she/her) is a passionate freelance photographer and photo editor based in Detroit, Michigan. She's dedicated to visually exploring social justice issues, and stories focusing on historically underrepresented communities and revealing the intimate connections that bind people together.
She's completed internships at The Post and Courier and The Seattle Times and holds a B.A. in Journalism from Michigan State University. Her work can be seen in major publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, TIME, Teen Vogue, National Geographic, NPR and others.
